The Pearl operates on a LORT D Contract with Actors' Equity Association. Equity Actors: -The Pearl holds Equity Principal Auditions annually, usually April or May. -Headshot and resume submissions are accepted by mail for consideration. -Agent submissions are requested as particular roles are available. Equity Audition Requirements: -Actors are to prepare two brief classical monologues. -One must be Shakespeare and one must be in verse. -Combined length for both monologues must be less than three minutes. Non-Equity Actors: -Resume and headshots are accepted by mail for consideration. We contact for appointments for general auditions annually, usually in spring. -Small roles and understudies are available to non-union actors. -Equity Memberhsip Candidate points are available. Non-Equity Audition Requirements: -Actors are asked to prepare one brief classical monologue, preferably in verse. Our Resident Acting Company of 10 members fill about half the contract roles available each season. We always are seeking new, skilled actors with training and interest in classical repertory.
