Instructor: Dan Daily

Course Description
This six-week practical workshop will explore the underlying sensitivity and passion in the heightened text of Chekhov, Ibsen, and Shaw’s works and develop the tools to create compelling performances for contemporary audiences. Actors will focus on breath support, speech work, and movement exercises to connect the body and voice with the text for a realistic, evocative interpretation. Through monologue study and scene work, participants will analyze the rhythm and phonetics of the trinity’s classical texts and build techniques for utilizing the text to support their speech and define characterization.

Prior participation in Advanced Scene Study grants admittance; new students may audition for admission.
